Just in time for the holiday shopping season, tickets for the annual Braise & Brew beer dinner at Middleton Place are now on sale! This is the ideal gift for the man or woman who enjoys the dark, delicious, soul-warming beers of winter, and the flavors of locally-sourced, slow-cooked meats and vegetables.


The Middleton Place Restaurant is pleased to welcome back a series of exceptional, local winter seasonals from Holy City Brewing Company. Braise & Brew combines Holy City's finest beers with a robust menu of braised fare, served over several courses in front of a roaring fire in the Middleton Place Pavilion. The three-hour feast will take place from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 26 at 4300 Ashley River Road.


Brandon Buck, Executive Chef at the Middleton Place Restaurant, will visit the brewery and meet with head brewer Chris Brown this week to sample Holy City's winter line, determine which beers will be included in the Braise & Brew event, and what dishes will be paired with each. When possible, Buck and Pastry Chef Courtney Simpson incorporate the beer into the cooking/baking process.


Charleston's pre-eminent guitarist/singer/songwriter Graham Whorley will provide live music throughout the night. In addition, the Inn at Middleton Place is offering 20 percent off each room to Braise & Brew ticketholders who stay the evening of Jan. 26 (subject to availability).
