Cobia Cookoff @ SC Aquarium
Tuesday, October 13, join Good Catch and Open Blue Sea Farms for the Cobia Cookoff Awards Reception at the South Carolina Aquarium! From 7 – 10 p.m., celebrate National Seafood Month as we present the winner of the Cobia Cookoff with their grand prize trip to Panama.
Delicious sustainable bites will be provided by Good Catch Partners Cru Catering, Tristan Events, Sea Islands Grill of Wild Dunes Resort andMichael's on the Alley. About the Cobia Cookoff Competition:
The Cobia Cookoff, a private event, will take place directly prior to this Awards Reception. Five food blog finalists will prepare their cobia recipes live for a panel of Good Catch partner chefs, using sustainable Open Blue cobia. Judging the competition are Nate Whiting of 492 King, Bob Waggoner of In the Kitchen with Chef Bob Waggoner, Drew Hedlund ofFleet Landing Restaurant & Bar, Rich Demarse of Charleston Harbor Fish House and Cole Poolaw of Barsa Tapas, Lounge, & Bar. The winner will be chosen based on their use of this versatile white fish, including their creativity, presentation and crowd appeal.
