We got together with our boys down the street at Pawley’s Island Brewing Company, and we brewed some sweet collaborative efforts together to quench the thirst of the Charleston drinking contingent for the summer of 2018. The beer we brewed at our facility is a nice and hoppy Belgian IPA. We dry-hopped this beer with Galaxy, Summer, Simcoe, German Magnum and Vic Secret hops, to give it a nose that is like a bouquet of the most beautiful beer flowers in the world. We also fermented the batch of beer with Canadian Belgian yeast, so it’s an IPA-eh?
This beer is a clean and easy drinker that’s fruity, floral and piney on the nose all at once. There’s some nice burn from the booze, but the malt build of German Pilsner, Wheat and Flaked oats provides a sweetness that tames this mighty hop-beast like a great trapeze balancing act.
