This beer is a maibock, a traditional summertime lager in the German Style. The name might not make sense to you unless you’re a commercial airline or military pilot, but it’s started to mean a lot to us over our six years in our spot on Dorchester Road. We brewed this beer for our Military Appreciation Night, and the bizarre name comes from the SOGTY coordinate that marks the flight path that goes directly over our brew house. We have always been appreciative of the servicemen in Charleston that come through our spot to drink our beers and eat our food, so this one’s for all of them, for any branch of the service, for the things that you do to keep us safe in the name of our country.
