The Space Dog is the penultimate entry to our Summer 2017 IPA Series, a six-part series that includes two IPA recipes from each of our three brewers. Jack Pitts wrote the recipe for this one, and if you’ve had any of Jack’s beers, you’ll know that they’re well-balanced and that Jack likes to mix it up by combining malts and hops to create flavor profiles that you won’t find anywhere else.

Jack started off with a blend of Bohemian Pilsner and Honey malts, and he added Huell Melon, Equinox and Summer hops. The result is an IPA that has a little bit of a burn from the ABV (7.8%) with a bouquet of different aromatics in the nose and a flavor explosion on the tongue, and all those hops are rounded out by a malty sweetness that makes this a must-have for any hophead.
