Holy City Brewing boasts five different event spaces for every function and occasion, no matter the event. The Mezzanine is a private upstairs dining room with its own satellite bar featuring rotating HCB beers. The Aqua Lounge is a 21-and-up, cozy space featuring a pool table, lounge furniture and more. The Courtyard is an open-air space that can fit up to one hundred fifty guests, with its own satellite bar. The Porter Room is for the biggest of events, with its own prep kitchen, full bar, and marshside views.
The Mezzanine
The Mezzanine is an open-air event space located directly above the dining room and bar, and is perfect for private events that are 65 people or fewer. Our 6 beer taps upstairs have a rotating HCB selection. The Mezzanine has comfortable seating for 40, a drink rail and a 65” TV. The TV connects to cable and personal devices through an HDMI cord. The rental for this space is $100 an hour for the first two hours and $50 an hour for every subsequent hour. To have the event staffed by personal cocktail servers, parties must meet a food and beverage minimum that is based on guest count. It’s the perfect space for rehearsal dinners, business meetings, baby showers, or birthday parties.

The Aqua Lounge
The Aqua Lounge is our funkiest event space that can hold up to 35 guests. There are couches, a pool table, cocktail tables, and a dining table that seats 10. The 65” TV connects to cable, our retro Nintendo system, and can connect to personal devices through an HDMI cord. The rental for this space is $50 an hour for the first two hours and $25 an hour for every subsequent hour. To have the event staffed by a personal cocktail server the food and beverage minimum is $600. It’s perfect for a casual rehearsal dinner, business holiday party, bachelor/ette, or birthday party.

The Courtyard
The Courtyard our largest reservable space, is the perfect location for a large sized gathering. This space is perfect for parties of up to 150 people. Located just off our covered patio, featuring a variety of seating in an outdoor location, views of the stage/live music most Fridays, an awning, a satellite bar, and staffed personal cocktail servers or bartenders. The rental for the Courtyard is $150 an hour for the first two hours and $100 an hour for every additional hour. The food and beverage minimum is based on headcount. This is the perfect space for wedding welcome events, business holiday parties, and happy hours.

1021 Room
Step into the exclusive atmosphere of our Speakeasy, HCB's newest private event space. Designed for those seeking an elevated and intimate experience, this hidden gem offers a sophisticated retreat from the hustle and bustle of the main taproom, perfect for gatherings of up to 15 guests. Our Speakeasy provides a premier setting with a focus on high-end craft cocktails and personalized beverage service.

The Porter Room
The Porter Room is our event venue located on property in North Charleston, SC. Owned by Holy City Brewing, this marsh-front property offers a warm, welcoming setting for groups small and large, no matter what the event! From the versatile indoor and outdoor spaces that seamlessly flow into each other to the extensive bar packages, the onsite team will ensure you have everything you need for a successful event. Just show up, we'll bring the beer!

Can I bring decorations?
Yes, but please no glitter, confetti (including balloons with confetti inside), silly string, paint cannons, confetti cannons, open flame (birthday candles are an exception), or anything that can damage our furniture, walls, or venue.
Any tables and chairs that are moved must be returned to their original places.
We reserve the right to charge a cleanup fee if our venue rules and regulations are broken.
When can I access the space ahead of my event?
1 hour prior to your event start time.
Can I bring in my own food and drinks?
No. We don’t allow outside food and drinks, the only exception we make is for celebratory desserts.
Can I just book the space and order from the bar without a server or a required F&B minimum?
If you are within 7 days of your desired event date and the Aqua Lounge or Mezzanine space has not been booked for a private catered event then yes, you can simply pay the room rental fee and order from our bar downstairs.
We prioritize private, catered events or room rentals.
What are the TV capabilities in your event spaces?
We offer Xfinity and all of the TVs have smartcasting ability and HDMI hookup.
What are the parking options?
You and your guests can park anywhere in our gravel lots.
You can also park in front of Reece HVAC beside us (after 6pm Monday - Friday and anytime Saturdays and Sundays but park here at your own risk).
Additionally there’s more street-side parking off Spruill Avenue and Bexley Street.
Please do not park in the spots designated for Stardust Tattoo customers, in our golf cart-only parking spots or behind our kitchen gates.
We have signage denoting where you can and can’t park.
If you plan on enjoying any alcoholic drinks we always suggest considering carpooling and rideshare. We also recommend Coastal Limo services if you are looking to shuttle guests.
Does Holy City Brewing allow dogs?
We don’t allow dogs/pets but ADA compliant service animals are welcome.
Is Holy City Brewing ADA compliant?
Yes. Our downstairs is ADA compliant; however, we do not have elevator or chairlift access to our upstairs event spaces.
Can I bring in live music for my event?
Yes, if you book our Courtyard space you’re welcome to bring in your own band, DJ or musical artist.
All we ask is that the music being played is family-friendly, kept at a reasonable volume so as not to disrupt taproom patrons, and please no karaoke or open mic unless otherwise scheduled with our events team.
We host live music most Fridays on the Courtyard stage.
