We’ve all heard some version of the IPA origin story. Folk knowledge tells us that the English had to produce beers with more hops and higher alcohol levels to survive the trip to India in colonial times. Little Dinghy has all the hops you’d expect in an IPA – namely Falconer’s Flight and Sorachi Ace – but with a teeny tiny ABV. Such a small beer would not be at home on a huge English sailing vessel. A smaller boat would be more fitting. A little dinghy, perhaps.
