You’ve all seen it. That fashion faux-pas often found at the bottom of old, round humans with shorts, fanny packs and tucked-in t-shirts is a great example of two things that just shouldn’t go together. If you need socks, wear shoes. If you want to wear sandals, leave the socks in the drawer.

When coming up with a collaboration concept with our friends from Terrapin Beer Company in Athens, GA, we landed on two other things you don’t often see together – a hefty Oktoberfest Lager and American hops. Some might say that if you need an Oktoberfest Lager, expect a malty beer. Likewise, if you want hops, don’t reach for an Oktoberfest. We threw caution to the wind and came up with this 7% ABV, heavily hopped, but otherwise traditional Oktoberfest Lager.

Why would we do such a thing? Because, much like the guys you see wearing socks and sandals, we like fun.
